The investigation started against Virat Kohli

In the case of conflict of interest, Virat Kohli is not taking the name of the problems being reduced. Ethics of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) DK Jain on Sunday said that he is investigating a conflict of interest against Kohli based on a complaint by Sanjeev Gupta, a lifelong member of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association. Sanjeev Gupta had earlier also made allegations against several former players which were later dismissed.

Gupta had mailed DK Jain about the conflict of interest. Gupta wrote in the mail that Kohli is the captain of Team India as well as the director of two other companies. This is a violation of the recommendations of the Lodha Committee.

MPCA member Gupta is a member of the BCCI constitution. Earlier, he had also lodged a complaint against Dravid, Laxman, Ganguly and Sachin. After receiving the mail, DK Jain said, “I have received a complaint. I will examine it and then see if a case is made against them. If yes, I will have to give him (Kohli) a chance to reply. “

On the other hand, a BCCI official objected, saying, “It is a propaganda to earn the name.” One way is to try blackmail. Once you see the complaints, you will know that these complaints are motivated. Somebody is trying to surround the BCCI officials and now he is surrounding the captain of the Indian team for some reason. This pattern is clearly visible in the last six years. Look at the email and its language, the intention is clear that it is an attempt to stain the successful people.”

According to Gupta, the Indian captain holds two positions simultaneously. This is a violation of Rule 38 (4) of the BCCI approved by the Supreme Court. If someone is found guilty, they will have to step down. Gupta has requested the Ethics Officer to order Kohli to step down from one of the posts.

This may lead to adherence to board rules. Gupta has written in a mail to DK Jain that the Indian captain is active in Virat Kohli Sports LLP Company (VIRAT KOHLI SPORTS LLP) and Cornerstone Venture Partner LLP.

DK Jain’s tenure was extended by one year only last month. This is the biggest case for him in the second term. CORNERSTONE The company manages the business interests of India’s captain Kohli apart from KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, Umesh Yadav, and Kuldeep Yadav among many others. Due to Coronavirus, Team India is away from the field for a long time, but Captain Kohli has been in a problem while sitting at home.
