The Kremlin responded to the draft of hockey player Fedotov in the army

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov answered a question from journalists about the conscription of the goalkeeper of the Russian national team and the Philadelphia Flyers NHL club Ivan Fedotov for military service.

“You probably know that the presidential administration is not involved in organizing and conducting the draft. Therefore, this question should be addressed not to us, but to the Ministry of Defense. There can be no human comments here, because there is a law. Emotional reasoning is hardly appropriate, ”RBC Sport quotes Peskov as saying.

Recall that on July 1, Ivan Fedotov was detained near one of the ice arenas in St. Petersburg and taken to the military registration and enlistment office, as he was suspected of evading military service. The day before, information appeared that the hockey player would serve in Severodvinsk (Arkhangelsk region) and he had already been awarded the rank of private.
