Former soccer player Chilavert to run for President of Paraguay
MOSCOW, June 17 – Former goalkeeper of the Paraguay national football team, José Luis Chilavert, announced on his page in Twitterthat will run for the presidency of the country.
“After thinking and feeling responsible for building a better Paraguay, I have decided to formalize my candidacy for the presidency,” he wrote.
Chilavert is 56 years old, he is the champion of Paraguay, Argentina and Uruguay. The goalkeeper also won the Copa Libertadores. The footballer ended his career in 2005.
The presidential elections in Paraguay will be held in 2023.
