The Sun: Wayne Rooney could be Burnley manager

MOSCOW, 28 April – Ex-England footballer Wayne Rooney tops the list of candidates for the post of head coach of English Premier League club Burnley, according to The Sun newspaper.
In mid-April, Burnley sacked Sean Dyche, who had been in charge of the club since 2012.
According to the publication, the Burnley management believes that Rooney can help restore the team, which ranks 17th in the Premier League standings. The club is separated from the relegation zone by two points.
Rooney has been in charge of Derby County since January 2021. Under the leadership of a 36-year-old specialist, the team flew out of the Championship ahead of schedule. Due to financial irregularities, 21 points were deducted from Derby.
