Norwegian Endre Strömsheim wins the individual race at the European Biathlon Championships

MOSCOW, 25 Jan – Norwegian biathlete Endre Strömsheim won the gold medal in the individual race at the European Championships, which takes place in Lenzerheide, Switzerland.
Strömsheim ran the 20 km distance in 51 minutes 5.9 seconds without a single miss on four firing lines. Second place was taken by Ukraine’s Anton Dudchenko with one penalty, 2 minutes 4.7 seconds back from the leader, while Slovenia’s Lovro Planko was third (+2.16.5, 1 miss).
The Congress of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) in September decided to uphold the suspension of Russian and Belarusian athletes from international competitions until further notice amid the situation in Ukraine.
