The Russian Biathlon Union has adopted criteria for assessing the performance of coaches
MOSCOW, September 18 – The coaching council of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) has adopted criteria for assessing the activities of coaches, said the vice-president of the organization Pavel Rostovtsev.
On Monday, the first ever RBU coaching council was held in Tyumen.
“Each athlete is given a target value for the quality of shooting in comparison with the same data from the previous season and his sports result – what he should become in the overall ranking of the RBU and what places he should take at the main competitions of the season. If 70-75% of the athletes in the coach’s group perform indicators, which means the situation is the same, if they don’t fulfill it, it’s assessed differently,” the functionary added.
The RBU vice-president noted that the criteria are in test mode, so the coaching council will return to this issue in the spring of 2024.
