Vasilevsky, Shesterkin and Sorokin ranked top 3 in the ranking of the best goaltenders in the NHL
MOSCOW, 28 Aug – Russians Andrei Vasilevsky, Igor Shesterkin and Ilya Sorokin took the first three places in the ranking of the best goaltenders in the National Hockey League (NHL) according to the NHL Network, according to the organization’s website.
Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Vasilevsky topped the rankings for the fifth year in a row. The two-time Stanley Cup winner and Vezina Trophy winner helped the team to 34 wins last season. He averaged 91.5% of shots per game with a safety factor of 2.65, and also had four clean sheets. Vasilevsky, along with Shesterkin, are tied for first place in the NHL in terms of the number of wins over the past two seasons (73).
