Tennis player Jabeur advanced to the fourth round of Wimbledon
MOSCOW, 1 July – The representative of Tunisia, Ons Jaber, reached the fourth round of the Wimbledon tennis tournament.
In the meeting of the third round, the second racket of the world Zhaber, who received the third seed, defeated the Frenchwoman Diane Parry with a score of 6:2, 6:3. The duration of the match was 1 hour 7 minutes.
In the next round, Jaber will play with the winner of the meeting Angelique Kerber (Germany, 15) – Elise Mertens (Belgium, 24).
In another match, Latvian representative Elena Ostapenko beat Romanian Irina Bega – 3:6, 6:1, 6:1.
Wimbledon, held on grass courts, will end on July 10. In April, the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC) refused to allow Russian and Belarusian tennis players to the tournament because of the situation in Ukraine.
