The Turkish Football Federation has denied the termination of the contract with Kunc
ISTANBUL, 18 Sep – The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) denied on Monday Turkish media reports about its intention to terminate the contract with national team head coach Stefan Kunz.
Hürriyet previously reported that TFF had decided to part ways with Kunz. The German specialist has led the Turkish national team since September 2021. After the team’s match with the Armenian national team in the European Championship qualifying round (1:1) and a friendly match with the Japanese (2:4), calls for the resignation of the 60-year-old coach intensified on social networks and the football expert community. The Posta newspaper claimed that the federation would pay the contractual penalties of 1.2 million euros to Kunz.
ِThe Federation notes that Kunz has been invited to an official meeting with the head of the Federation on Wednesday.
