ANKARA, 17 Sep – The Turkish Football Federation TFF has decided to part ways with the head coach of the country’s national team, Stefan Kunz, and the leadership of the federation informed the German coach of its decision, the Hürriyet newspaper writes.

Kuntz has led the Turkish national team since September 2021. After the matches of the Turkish national team with the Armenian national team in the qualifying round of the European Championship (1:1) and a friendly match with the Japanese national team (2:4), calls for Kuntz’s resignation intensified on social networks and the football expert community.

The Turkish national team ranks second (10 points) in Group D of the 2024 European Championship qualifying tournament.
