MOSCOW, 13 Sep – Russian musician Timati, in a conversation with reporters, said that he considers it incorrect to compare mixed martial artists (MMA) Khamzat Chimaev and Khabib Nurmagomedov.
On Sunday, 28-year-old Chimaev at the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) tournament in Las Vegas defeated American Kevin Holland in the first round by choke. The undefeated Swede of Chechen origin won his 12th MMA victory. He is ranked third in the UFC welterweight rankings. Nurmagomedov retired in October 2020 after defeating U.S. Representative Justin Gaethje. The Russian fighter left the sport without losing a single fight at the professional level (29 wins in 29 fights).
“I watch the UFC. Khamzat Chimaev is the brightest star now. It’s interesting for me to watch his fights, because 70-80% of his fights are not on the ground.
