MOSCOW, July 28 – Turkish football fans left many comments with Russian flags on Dynamo Moscow’s club Instagram* after the Champions League qualification match between Fenerbahce Istanbul and Dynamo Kyiv.
On Wednesday, Kiev “Dynamo” beat “Fenerbahce” in the second leg of the second round of the Champions League qualification and advanced to the next stage. The meeting in Istanbul ended in extra time with a score of 2:1 in favor of the guests. At the 57th minute of the match, Dynamo opened the scoring thanks to a goal by Vitaliy Buyalsky, who made a provocative gesture towards the Fenerbahce fans. In response, the stands began to chant: “Vladimir Putin.” According to media reports, because of this, the head coach of Kiev Mircea Lucescu did not appear at the post-match press conference.
After the end of the match, Turkish fans decided to continue teasing Dynamo, but apparently mixed up the social networks of the two clubs and mistakenly started leaving comments on the page of the Moscow team. The people of Kiev have limited the ability to comment on their publications.
In the third round of the Champions League qualification, Dynamo will play with the Austrian Sturm, the first match will take place on August 3 at a neutral field in Lodz, Poland, the return match will take place on August 9.
