The Turkish team scored six unanswered goals against the Lithuanian team in the match of the Football League of Nations
MOSCOW, June 8 – The Turkish national football team defeated the Lithuanian team in the match of the second round of the UEFA Nations League.
Group 1 League C meeting in Vilnius ended with a score of 6:0 in favor of the guests, goals were scored by Dogukan Sinik (2nd and 14th minutes), Serdar Dursun (56, penalties; 81), Yunus Akgün (89) and Ibrahim Dervisoglu (90+1).
In the other match of group 1, the Luxembourg national team beat the Faroe Islands team (1:0) on the road.
In the group 3 league B match, the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina beat the team of Romania at home with a score of 1:0.
The Russian national team was excluded from the list of participants in the League of Nations after the decision of the UEFA Executive Committee, which in May suspended all Russian national and club teams from competitions under its auspices until the end of the 2022/23 season. In connection with this decision, the Russian national team will leave Division B of the League of Nations and drop down to League C.
