UEFA confirms receipt of bids from Britain, Ireland and Italy for Euro

UEFA confirms receipt of three pre-bids for EURO 2028 and 2032

MOSCOW, 16 Nov – The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) on its official website has confirmed the receipt of three preliminary applications for the European Championships 2028 and 2032.
The Football Associations of England, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Scotland and Wales jointly submitted bids to host the 2028 tournament. Turkey has bid to host the 2028 or 2032 European Championships, while Italy has bid for Euro 2032.
National Federations can submit their final applications until April 12, 2023. The elections of the host countries of the European Championships 2028 and 2032 will be held in autumn 2023.
In May, the UEFA executive committee rejected the application of the Russian Football Union (RFU) to host the European Championship in 2028 or 2032 and declared it not compliant.
