UFC champion Volkanovski challenges Charles Oliveira

MOSCOW, July 3 – /strong>. UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski announced his intention to move up to the lightweight division behind the second belt.
Earlier, the Australian defeated the American Max Holloway at the 276th numbered league tournament. This was the third meeting of the fighters in the octagon, they all ended in favor of the current belt holder.

“I have already proven that I want to go out in the octagon as often as possible. I want to stay active, I want to move up to lightweight and become a double champion. I will defend both titles! Charles (Oliveira) or whoever will be with the belt no disrespect, but I want to be a double champion,” Volkanovski said after the fight.

Recall that in May, the Brazilian Oliveira ahead of schedule defeated the American Justin Gaethje. However, the athlete did not meet the weight before the title fight, because of which he was deprived of the title in the lightweight division.
