MOSCOW, 21 Aug – Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White has said he would like to organize a rematch between Britain’s Leon Edwards and American Kamaru Usman in the UK.
The bout between Edwards and Usman headlined Sunday night’s UFC 278 tournament in Salt Lake City (USA) and ended with the victory of the British by knockout in the fifth round. Usman failed to defend the championship title for the sixth time. In December 2015, Usman defeated Edwards via unanimous decision.
“What about Wembley? I don’t know. I would like to organize it in England,” White said at a press conference broadcast on the UFC YouTube channel.
Usman has 20 wins and two losses. Edwards had 25 fights at the professional level (20 wins with four losses, one more confrontation was declared invalid).
