UNICS strengthened its advantage over Avtodor in the 1/4 finals of the playoffs of the VTB United League
MOSCOW, 25 April – Kazan UNICS defeated Avtodor Saratov in the second match of the VTB United League quarterfinal playoff series.
The meeting in Kazan ended in victory for the hosts with a score of 97:59 (25:17, 23:11, 27:17, 22:14). The most productive player of the match was the guest forward Anton Kvitkovskikh, who scored 19 points. Andriy Vorontsevich and Mario Hezonya each brought 15 points to UNICS.
The score in the series up to three wins became 2-0 in favor of UNICS. The third meeting will be held on April 29 in Saratov.
The meeting became the 17th face-to-face confrontation between the rivals within the framework of the VTB United League. UNICS has 15 wins, the Saratov team celebrated success only twice. In the playoffs, the tournament paths of the opponents crossed for the first time.
