MOSCOW, 23 Jul – Undefeated Russian MMA fighter Usman Nurmagomedov has maintained a perfect record after his fourth fight under the auspices of Bellator.
At the 283rd numbered promotion tournament held in Washington, the cousin of former UFC champion in the lightweight division Khabib Nurmagomedov turned out to be stronger than American Christopher Gonzalez (victory by submission in the first round).
The domestic lightweight has 15 wins in 15 professional fights. On account of Gonzalez – seven wins with two defeats.
Earlier, other Russians fought at the tournament:
  • Akhmed Magomedov made a successful debut in Bellator, successfully holding a choke in the first round of the fight against American Kevin Behm;

  • Later, his compatriot Gadzhi Rabadanov defeated Bobby King from the USA by unanimous decision;

  • The duel of the Russian Mukhamed Berkhamov against the American Lorenz Larkin was declared invalid (unintentional elbow strike to the back of the head).
