Verstappen wins Dutch Formula 1 Grand Prix
MOSCOW, 26 Aug – Dutch driver “Red Bull” Max Verstappen became the best in qualifying for the Dutch Grand Prix – the 14th round of the championship “Formula 1”, which takes place at the circuit in Zandvoort.
The result of the two-time world champion is 1 minute 10.567 seconds. For Verstappen, this is the third consecutive victory in qualifying for the Dutch Grand Prix. The second was the British driver of McLaren Lando Norris (lag 0.537 seconds), the third – his compatriot George Russell from Mercedes (+0.727).
In the second minute of the third qualifying segment, the American pilot of “Williams” Logan Sargent drove onto a wet section of the track, after which he lost control and drove into the fence. The car was badly damaged. The rider himself left the car. Also, the race was stopped by red flags due to the accident of the Monegasque Charles Leclerc from Ferrari, who flew into the bump stop.
The Dutch Grand Prix will take place on 27 August. Start – 16:00 Moscow time.
