Zidane, Mourinho and Mihailoviach inducted into the Italian Football Hall of Fame
MOSCOW, 16 Mar – Former Juventus footballer Zinedine Zidane, Roma head coach Jose Mourinho and ex-Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic have been inducted into the Italian Football Hall of Fame, according to the official website of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC).
Other inductees to the Italian Football Hall of Fame include former Parma and Napoli midfielder Gianfranco Zola, former Juventus and Inter striker Alessandro Altobelli, Juventus player Cristiana Girelli, former Inter Milan owner Ernesto Pellegrini and former Torino coach Ernest Egri-Erbstein.
Mikhailovich died in December 2022 at the age of 54. In recent years, the Serb has struggled with leukemia and at the same time continued to train the Italian “Bologna”, which he left last autumn.
The Italian Football Hall of Fame was created by the FIGC and the Football Museum in Coverciano in 2011. It includes those who have left a great contribution to the history of Italian football. The award jury includes the heads of Italy’s main sports newspapers.
