Kylian Mbappé’s start in La Liga with Real Madrid hasn’t been smooth. The French forward failed to score in his first three matches, impacting Real’s performance. The team managed only one win and two draws in these games, leading to criticism of Mbappé.

Amidst this, Real Madrid faced more issues when Didier Deschamps called up Mbappé, 25, for the Nations League squad. Rumors suggested that Real Madrid had requested the French team to rest Mbappé for the September Nations League match, owing to his busy schedule with the Euros and upcoming fixtures. However, Deschamps did not heed this request.

Deschamps explained that he included Mbappé in the team after discussing it with him. He told the media, “I don’t know where you get this information from. I spoke to Kylian. There will always be calendar issues, especially with the new Champions League format. The season starting from June is very long. Coaches have to manage players’ workload carefully.”

Regarding Mbappé, Deschamps added, “He has played only three matches for the new club with different players. He needs to establish a natural connection. I see him in good condition. He will score many goals. He chose to be there and has everything to succeed.”

Before joining the French national team, Mbappé will play one more match for Real Madrid against Real Betis at Santiago Bernabéu this Sunday. France will then face Italy in the Nations League on September 6, followed by a match against Belgium on September 9.
