Robert Saleh, former head coach of the NFL’s New York Jets, left the team’s office in scandal after learning of his dismissal.
The 45-year-old coach was fired on Tuesday. NBC reported that when Saleh received the news in the morning, he needed to be escorted out of the building by the Jets’ head of security.
On Sunday, Jets lost to Minnesota 17-23 in a game played in London.
Saleh joined the team as head coach in January 2021. During his time, Jets never reached the NFL playoffs, winning only 20 of 56 games. This season, the team has two wins in five games.
The New York Jets have been part of NFL since 1960 and have won just one championship, which came in 1968 season.
