MOSCOW, 17 Oct – Head coach of Khabarovsk “Amur” Andrei Martemyanov said that striker Alexander Khokhlachev, who was at the center of the scandal, should play and benefit the team.
“Amur” beat Chelyabinsk “Traktor” on Tuesday in a regular season match of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) with a score of 3:2. One of the goals was scored by Khokhlachev, who broke his 13-match goalless streak. Earlier, the media reported that on the night of October 15, Khokhlachev, drunk, climbed onto the roof of the car of one of the local residents. After the incident, “Amur” fined the player a month’s salary, Khokhlachev apologized for his behavior.

Khokhlachev is 30 years old, he is a graduate of Spartak Moscow, from which he moved to Amur in August. The forward is the top scorer, sniper and assistant of the “red-whites” in the KHL. He also played for Avangard Omsk and SKA St. Petersburg. From 2014 to 2016, he was a player for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League.
