On Saturday night, secured a 2-0 victory against Real Sociedad in a La Liga match. However, the scoreline doesn’t tell the full story.

From the start, Real Madrid faced significant challenges on Sociedad’s home ground. The hosts came close to taking the lead multiple times, hitting the post three times in quick succession. But it was Vinícius Júnior who finally broke the deadlock and gave Real Madrid the lead.

Before scoring, Vinícius faced jeers from the home crowd whenever he touched the ball, as they tried to provoke him. In response, Vinícius was seen smiling back at the crowd on several occasions.

However, his true answer came in the 58th minute when he netted the opening goal. After scoring the penalty, he sprinted towards the corner flag and gestured for the crowd to be silent by placing his finger on his lips.

Not everyone appreciated Vinícius’ celebration. Some Real Madrid fans criticized it, and former Real Madrid striker Predrag Mijatović also disapproved. Mijatović believes that such celebrations are harmful to Vinícius himself.

Commenting on Vinícius’ actions, Mijatović said, “He’s inviting trouble for himself. He knows exactly what’s happening around him, yet he still behaves this way. He needs to calm down and think things through. We’re all happy about the goal, but disappointed with his celebration. Why does he need to do this? He’s hurting himself more than he realizes. I’ve spoken to many Real Madrid fans who love him, but they’re hurt by his behavior.”
